London to Host Eight-Nation Athletics World Cup in 2018

London Stadium will play host to another big meet in 2018. The site of the 2017 IAAF World Outdoor Championships will play host July 14-15 to the Athletics World Cup, according to the IAAF.

The meet will include eight nations with competition taking place over two evening sessions. The teams scheduled to compete include the United States, Great Britain, Poland, China, Germany, France, Jamaica and South Africa.

Athletes will be competing for a $2 million prize purse.

However, the event could be ill-timed with both the Wimbledon final and the soccer World Cup final taking place that weekend, dividing sport watching eyes.
